"War On The Plains" is a supplement to our 19th century skirmish rule set, "A Good Day To Die!" (also from Sinister Labs Publishing), and is intended to provide a framework for a basic campaign or series of interconnected games using these rules, set in the Great Plains region of North America. It consists of a system for generating scenarios and deciding a winner by means of "Glory Points", plus some special rules specific to the period, as well as guidelines for creating and using forces based on the various Indian tribes and other combatants. Tim Greene from California has provided a lot of very useful suggestions that have been incorporated into the game. He has also kindly allowed us to publish the Solitaire Engine that he has developed to enable players to organize games in the absence of opponents (see pages 46 to 49). This can be used either for one-off games or in conjunction with the campaign rules.
