The year is 1944 and what was to be a decisive victory in the great East of Russia has instead ground into a long defeat as the Soviets sweep across the previously conquered territory of the German Wehrmacht. Operation Bagration has begun and the slow death of the German Army Group Center spreads across the great Russian plains leading to Berlin itself. Caught in this maelstrom are the confused and shattered elements of the various branches of the German army, fleeing to the West. Fleeing for life as the Red juggernaut rolls onward, but the Russians are not the only enemy the retreating Germans find. In this Hell they created there are also curses from those who died in vain, those who seek vengeance, those who seek Flesh.
The nightmare consumes all as the retreating troop find themselves fighting their own Dead in a bid for survival.
