The Long Road South must be played with the DH/C7B main rulebook, but it is also recommended that you obtain Seek Out, Close With, and Destroy (SOCWAD) to fully implement the material in this supplement. A condensed summary sheet and a condensed version of the Helicopters from SOCWAD is included at the back of the book for ease of play. You will still likely need SOCWAD for your games.
The Long Road South Is a DH/C7B supplement for gaming the Vietnam War, meaning the conflict occurring within Vietnamese borders from 1964-1975, as part of the Second Indo-China War. This book describes in detail the major infantry platoons of the PAVN (NVA), VC (PLAF), US Army, USMC, ANZAC, ARVN, SVMC, and ROK as deployed there. Also included is a wide range of the artillery, vehicles, and aircraft used by these nations. While this publication is informative, it is not a stand-alone product. A copy of DH/C7B is needed to play.
